Please read these terms carefully before using Kognix. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by them.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and K M Fazle(“we”, “us”) operating the Kognix service. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service immediately.
Kognix is currently in beta. The service is provided free of charge during this period, subject to rate limits. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or limit features at any time without prior notice. Paid plans will be introduced before general availability and you will be notified in advance.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Kognix. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.
You agree not to:
You retain full ownership of the documents and data you upload. By uploading content you grant Kognix a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store that content solely to deliver the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Kognix uses large language models to generate answers. Outputs are grounded in your uploaded documents but may still contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it. We do not accept liability for decisions made based on AI-generated content.
The Kognix name, logo, and underlying software are owned by K M Fazle. Where the codebase is made available under an open-source licence (MIT), the terms of that licence apply. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Kognix’s intellectual property to you.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, K M Fazle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from account settings. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal proceedings.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
